Wooden Kiwi Productions, Waltham, MA, is seeking a Charge Painter starting in April. We are a very dynamic scenic shop, over 25 years in the entertainment biz with a wide range of clients and a terrific staff. Full Time, with paid holidays, PTO, health insurance, 401K, and a fun shop environment. Most of our scenic painting happens in our shop, with regular work offsite as well. Our Charge is the lead painter for scenic construction, which includes communicating with designers about finishes and paint methods, documenting process as well completing projects in their entirity on time. They are responsible for accurately recreating renderings for all designers and for insuring that designers or clients provide sufficent information to complete each project, including sculptural effects, floor and wall treatments. They will supervise paint staff (currently one FT and one intern) as well as work with carpentry staff, and will be in charge of organizing and maintaining paint area and supplies.
