Overview

The Tony-award winning UTAH SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, a professional theater company in residence at Southern Utah University, is accepting applications for two Paint Apprentices/Stage Crew for the 2024 season. The Utah Shakespeare Festival produces a seven-show repertory season and three Green Shows across four venues in the summer/fall of each year.

Work begins April 29th and runs through September 14 or October 13 depending on assignment.

$15/Hour and housing with a private bedroom is provided

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for painting and finishing of all scenic elements for assigned productions.
Responsible for running, storage, and maintenance of paints for assigned productions.
Will be part of Stage Crew and the Changeover Crew as shows open and participate in working shows and changeovers.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Beginner or intermediate experience with scenic painting and finishing or related field.
Must be comfortable using ladders, scaffolding.
Basic knowledge of typical scenery and paint specific tools.
