Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is seeking qualified candidates with a background in painting theatrical scenery for the position of Assistant Scenic Artist.  This is a seasonal benefits eligible position that will be scheduled for 30 weeks of full-time work next season starting August 1, 2022.  This position will assist the Charge Artist to produce the paint and texture finishes for all scenic elements based on concepts and designs supplied by the Scenic Designer through models and renderings and requires someone who is knowledgeable about a variety of scenic painting techniques, who is proficient in drawing and copying, who has knowledge of a variety of paints and solvents, and who has the ability to positively contribute to an anti-racist/anti-bias organization.  Applicants for this role should have high attention to detail, ability to adapt to adjusting priorities, and time management skills.  This position reports to the Charge Artist and is a seasonally reoccurring position with opportunities for freelance work among other theaters.
