Work with Paint Charge on all scenic and paint elements; paint all shows; ensure all production deadlines are met; help manage the organization, cleanliness and maintenance of all paint areas and equipment; observe all safety protocols; assist in the training and mentoring of interns; work independently; work quickly with attention to detail; In the absence of the Paint Charge, or as requested, organize and supervise all changeover touch-ups; work with strike week crew to restore all performance and work areas at the end of season; ensure all paint materials and paint work areas are cleaned and items properly disposed of; restore floors in all performance venues; restore paint shop and work areas and return all company materials to their off-season storage locations.

Qualified applications must have an extensive knowledge and experience in scenic painting techniques and surface treatments including carving, texturing, ageing + distressing, faux painting, etc.; excellent drawing and painting ability; solid command of color theory and paint mixing; excellent interpersonal and communications skills; a collaborative attitude; reliable and punctual; good organizational skills; excellent time management skills; ability to maintain a calm, positive work energy; a strong willingness to learn; a calm confident presence during chaotic production periods; a positive, collaborative attitude; self-motivated with a strong team orientation; ability to multi-task and work well under pressure; ability to manage shifting and competing priorities; exercise good judgment and discretion; ability to work productively and meet deadlines in an environment of change, creative process and rigorous time management; a willingness to work hard as part of a team. Valid driver+rsquo;s license and personal vehicle required. This position is seasonal full time with on-site residency required.

Work Environment:
– Ability to work long hours and work with a flexible schedule.
– Willingness to work in multiple venues.
– May have to work at heights, around moving machinery, and with exposure to noise, vibration, and dust.
– Ability to work safely in an environment containing potentially hazardous electrical equipment, fumes, and/or materials.
– Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
– Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting, bending, standing, climbing, and/or walking.
