Williams Street Repertory is looking for a Scenic Charge Artist to join the creative team of Native Gardens, our upcoming spring play. Native Gardens by Karen Zacarias, directed by Michele Vazquez will run March 27th-May 10th at the Raue Center for the Arts in downtown Crystal Lake.

Successful candidates will have demonstrable skills in scenic paint techniques, strong communication skills, and availability for all required production dates.

Production Dates:

2/11 – Production Meeting / Draftings + Renderings/model due
2/24 – Production Meeting / paint samples due
3/9 thru 3/13 – designated paint time in shop
3/16 thru 3/20 – Scenic load in
3/23 – Tech Notes day
3/27 – Opening Performance

Additional meetings and paint calls may be scheduled ad hoc.

The Scenic Charge Artist will have use of the shop space and all stock materials therein, subject to availability. The Raue Center staff will provide for basic paint touchup needs during the run of the production. Williams Street Rep. does have a paint stock for use by the designer.

Compensation + Budget:
$500 Artist stipend
$300 Paint budget

Designers will be responsible for their own housing and transportation to and from the venue. Local area candidates preferred.
