Great River Shakespeare Festival is looking for a Scenic Charge Artist for the 2022 Summer Season.

Scenic Charge Artist (Mainstage) – $4000 fee
Scenic Charge Artist (Community Engaged Project) – $1500 fee

Housing in Winona is free for company members.

Responsible for all aspects of scenic painting.
Work with Designer and Technical Director to plan and execute all scenic painting.
Master of faux-finishing, texture and aging techniques.
Solid command of color theory and a paint mixing necessary.
Extensive knowledge of priming and painting a wide range of materials. Wood, plastics, metal, etc.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines.
Must be organized, detailed, a self-starter, be able to multitask.

Full Covid Protocols are still being finalized for 2022 and will be adjusted based on union and CDC guidelines as the season approaches.

The Great River Shakespeare Festival, a professional Equity company on the banks of the Mississippi in Winona, Minnesota; GRSF presents its six-week long season of rotating repertory from late June to early August in the 430-seat mainstage theater on campus at Winona State University. The company will move to Winona for the season in early May, and move back home after closing in early August. Housing in Winona is free for company members.
