Overview

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center seeks part-time individuals to work as scenic artists for upcoming productions. Scenic Artists would provide assistance to the Scenic Charge Coordinator in supervision and execution of the day-to-day operations of The Clarice. Candidates should be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, work safely and quickly and exhibit professional behavior at all times.

Requirements

  • Need to have a working knowledge in theatrical procedures, scenic painting, problem solving, tools and theatre products
  • Ability to lift, push, or maneuver 50+ lbs, as well as climb ladders and work in high places
  • Sculpting and/or carpentry experience a plus
  • Interest in working with students a must

Work hours are generally weekdays with occasional weekend hours. Competitive hourly wage is commensurate with experience; benefits are not available for this position.

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center supports 1200 events annually in six spectacular theatres. We are process-oriented professionals committed to teaching, exploration and collaboration.
