The Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) on behalf of the Jefferson County Visitors Convention and Visitors Bureau (JCCVB) is seeking a scenic artist to paint a room in the visitors center to resemble the existing John Brown’s Fort located in Harper’s Ferry, WV (about an hour and 15 minutes from DC).

Very basic project info: The room is relatively small (10’Wx13’Hx 7’6”H) and the hope is to cover the room with a realistic 2D brick treatment as well as a simple wash on the ceiling. This room is located in the JCCVB welcome center and will become a permanent part of the center’s exhibits. Dates are flexible, but work may need to take place during the business hours of the visitors center.

Pay: Starting at $25/hour and negotiable based on experience and timeline. We do not currently have an estimate on the amount of time we expect the work to take, and are interested in speaking with candidates about what they think is feasible. Travel reimbursement is also available if commuting from the DC/Baltimore area.
