Job Dates



$18-$24 per hour

We are currently looking to add another Scenic Artist to work alongside our Scenic Charge and Assistant scenic Charge. Projects can range from painting restaurant cabinetry to television scenery to full size theatrical drops. This is a fast paced, schedule-driven environment.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a professional or educational shop and be able to show photo examples of their work.


+ Work with Project Managers, Operations Manager, and other shop staff
+ Read, interpret, and paint from designer renderings
+ Some travel possible for installations


+ Scenic faux finishes
+ Backdrops and trompe l’oeil
+ Use of pneumatic and airless sprayers
+ Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment
+ Willingness to be available for overtime and some weekend work

Preferred Skills:

+ Foam carving and sculpting skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to loud noises, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.

Pay range: $18-$24 per hour plus overtime
