Overview
Red Door Escape Room in Fort Worth, TX is looking to hire numerous Scenic Painters as our shop demand grows while we continue to open more locations across the country.
Job Type: Full time, non-exempt; 35 – 45 hours per week.
Starting Compensation: $15 – $17 per hour depending on experience. Standard overtime rates apply.
Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance upon 60 days employment. 120 hours of Paid Time Off annually.
Reports to: Head of Production
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with fellow Scenic Carpenters, Scenic Artists, and Electrical Engineers to fabricate, install, and maintain props as directed by the Head of Production, Lead Carpenter, and Lead Design Engineer.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Use Company provided time tracking systems in order to accurately track time spent in the shop as a whole, as well as time spent on each individual project.
Continually strive to improve Red Door’s production techniques and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
College degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in standard scenic painting techniques. Including, but not limited to, faux treatments, carving, detailing, stenciling, and texturing.
Proficiency with standard scenic painting tools such as electric and pneumatic spray guns and graining tools.
The ability to create tangible products using only verbal descriptions or minimal documentation.
Desired Qualifications: 3D printing, graphic design experience, casting.
