The Resident Ensemble Players at the University of Delaware is seeking Philadelphia/Wilmington/Baltimore area overhire personnel, to assist with painting show scenery. Scene painting experience helpful but not required.

Duties include priming, base coating, texturing, and the initial steps of paint treatment. All work is to be done on the University of Delaware campus, either in the Paint Shop or onstage. The schedule is flexible and will be created per call. Hourly pay is based on experience. Applicants must have the physical ability to lift 5-gallon paint buckets (up to 20 lbs.) and be able to climb and work from a stationary A-frame ladder. Will spend most of the call time standing or moving around. Must be ready to work at start of call time with proper paint clothes and no open toed shoes or loose jewelry. Must follow safe practices of shop including keeping work area clean. Will be required to use personal protection equipment, which will be provided (respirators, gloves, etc.) as needed. Will be required to clean tools and buckets at the completion of work.

Employment offers will be conditional upon successful completion of a criminal background check. A conviction will not necessarily exclude you from employment. This position is not eligible for travel reimbursement, housing or University benefits. Pay is $15 – 20 per hour, DOE.
