The Gateway Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County is now accepting resumes for all production department positions for our 2019 season. We are accepting resumes for all positions, including department head, assistants, staff, apprentices, and interns in the paint department.
The Gateway produces five mainstage musicals, two fully produced Conservatory productions through out acting school during our summer season (specific shows not yet announced). During the fall, we produce our nationally ranked Haunted Playhouse, which runs through the month of October, followed by a short fall/winter season. The Gateway also produces a number of special and limited engagement events and acting school production classes throughout the year (including the summer).
Qualifications are dependent upon the specific position applied for, and compensation is dependent on the position and experience within the field of specialty. The duration of contracts likewise varies, with most staff contracts running from mid April 2019 through early January 2020, and shorter contracts available for those with academic commitments. The Gateway provides housing for staff members, and will assist with travel to and from The Gateway.
We welcome applicants with limited professional experience to apply to our apprentice program, and those with educational / community theatre experience to apply to our internship program.
The Gateway Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County is entering its 70th season. Located on the south shore of Long Island about 90 minutes from NYC, The Gateway PACSC performs both at our home theater in Bellport, NY (housing is located on the property), and at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in Patchogue, NY (about 10 minutes away).
