We are currently looking for part-time individuals to work as scenic artists for upcoming productions at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Scenic Artists would provide assistance to the Scenic Charge Coordinator in supervision and execution of the day-to-day operations of The Clarice. Candidates should be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, work safely and quickly and exhibit professional behavior at all times.
- Need to have a working knowledge in theatrical procedures, scenic painting, problem solving, tools and theatre products
- Ability to lift, push, or maneuver 50+ lbs, as well as climb ladders and work in high places
- Sculpting and/or carpentry experience a plus
- Interest in working with students a must
Work hours are generally weekdays with occasional weekend hours. Competitive hourly wage is commensurate with experience; benefits are not available for this position.
