About us: Lexington Children’s Theatre’s (LCT) mission is to create imaginative and compelling theatre experiences for young people and families. Position Description: Lexington Children’s Theatre is seeking a Charge Artist / Properties Manager. This person’s primary duties are facilitating all painting and property responsibilities for LCT’s extensive programming. This includes interpreting designer’s rendering, mixing paint, and laying in colors. This person provides all of LCT’s properties through purchasing, constructing, or utilizing LCT’s stock property elements. Experience in the creation of painted muslin drops is vital to this position. This position is a part of LCT’s scene shop staff, and will be asked to assist with scenic construction, lighting, and puppetry as needed.

 

Compensation: $29,000 plus benefits. The range of benefits includes fully paid medical insurance ($7,000 a year), paid time off, a paid two-week holiday break, and retirement plan with up to 3% of salary match from the company ($870). The company operates under a fluctuating work week agreement that compensates any hours worked over 40 a week.
