Overview

Seagle Music Colony is the oldest summer vocal training program in the United States and the premier opera and musical theatre producing organization in the Adirondack region of upstate New York. The 2019 season mainstage productions include Evita, The Marriage of Figaro, The Manchurian Candidate, and Oklahoma. For more information please visit www.seaglecolony.org.

Duties will include prepping and painting scenic elements, assisting with painting and finishing props, communication with the designers and production staff, supervising interns. Run crew duties as assigned. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a very busy and fast paced environment. Must be able to interpret design elevations and renderings, effectively budget time, and train other shop staff in paint techniques. Candidate should have completed at least 2 or 3 years of undergraduate training with extensive time in the paint department by the date of hire. Contract dates are June 10 thru August 18. Salary: $350-$450/week + room and board (DOE).
